Arctic Birds: Ikiurtaqtumi Timmiat

The exhibit brings together exemplary prints of whimsical and legendary arctic birds. Arctic Birds translates to Ikiurtaqtumi Timmiat in the Inuktituk language. Both elegant and fanciful, these expertly crafted works burst to life on paper. Each piece of the collection was artfully created using traditional printmaking techniques of the arctic north: Stonecut, lithography, and etching.
